Maintenance plans

Keep your system running well and move to the front of the line when something goes wrong.

Why maintenance

Most HVAC failures aren't sudden

They're the result of small problems that go unnoticed, a clogged flame sensor, a weak capacitor, a slow refrigerant leak, until the system fails on the coldest or hottest day of the year. A tune-up catches those early. A maintenance plan means we catch them for you, every year, before they become $800 repairs.

Three tiers

Choose the right plan for your home

All three plans include at least one annual tune-up, parts and labor discounts, and priority scheduling. Pick the tier that matches how often you want us in the house.

Silver

$149 / year
  • 1 annual system tune-up (furnace or AC, your choice)
  • Filter inspection and replacement guidance
  • 10% discount on all parts and labor
  • Priority scheduling: next-day
Choose Silver

Platinum

$399 / year
  • Two tune-ups per year (fall furnace + spring AC)
  • Filter delivery included (two standard filters/year)
  • 20% discount on all parts and labor
  • Same-day priority, front of queue
  • Diagnostic fee waived always
  • Annual carbon monoxide and humidity check
  • Dedicated tech assigned to your account

What's included

What a tune-up includes

Every tune-up is a comprehensive multi-point inspection, not a 10-minute filter swap. Our technicians work through the same checklist on every visit, so nothing gets skipped.

  • Inspect and clean heat exchanger
  • Test ignitor and flame sensor
  • Check gas pressure and burner operation
  • Inspect flue and venting
  • Lubricate moving parts
  • Test and calibrate thermostat
  • Inspect electrical connections and controls
  • Measure airflow and filter condition
  • Check refrigerant levels (AC tune-up)
  • Clean condenser and evaporator coils (AC tune-up)

The numbers

A tune-up pays for itself

A clean, properly-tuned furnace runs 5 to 15% more efficiently than one that hasn't been serviced. On a typical Twin Cities gas bill, that's $100 to $250 in annual savings, roughly the cost of the Silver plan all by itself.

The real value is in what we catch early. A cracked heat exchanger found in October costs less to fix than one that fails in January. A weak capacitor replaced in April is $120 instead of a $450 emergency call in July. The math works out, even before the discount on repairs.

FAQ

Maintenance plan FAQ.

What the plans cover and how they pay for themselves.

Which plan is right for me?

Silver ($149/yr) covers one tune-up, furnace or AC, plus a 10% discount and next-day priority. Gold ($249/yr) covers both furnace and AC, waives the diagnostic fee and gives same-day priority. Platinum ($399/yr) adds two visits a year, filter delivery and a dedicated technician.

What happens during a tune-up?

A multi-point inspection: heat exchanger, ignitor and flame sensor, gas pressure and burner operation, flue and venting, electrical connections, thermostat calibration and airflow. AC tune-ups also check refrigerant and clean the coils.

Does a tune-up actually save money?

A properly tuned furnace typically runs 5 to 15% more efficiently, which is roughly $100 to $250 a year on a typical Twin Cities gas bill. The larger saving is catching small failures before they become emergency calls.

When should I schedule my tune-up?

Furnaces are best serviced in early fall, before the first hard freeze, and AC in spring before cooling season. Platinum covers both.

Is the carbon monoxide check really included?

Gold and Platinum include an annual carbon monoxide safety check. A cracked heat exchanger found in October costs far less to fix than one that fails in January.

Can I cancel?

Yes, plans can be cancelled anytime.
