1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the website at northstarhvac.mn (the "Site") or any services offered by North Star Heating & Cooling ("North Star," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or request services.

2. Services offered

North Star provides residential and small-commercial HVAC services in the Twin Cities metro area, including furnace repair and installation, air conditioning repair and installation, heat pump services, boiler and radiant heat service, indoor air quality systems, and ongoing maintenance plans. A full list is available on our Services page. All work is performed by licensed and insured technicians.

3. User conduct

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Submit false, misleading, or deceptive information through our contact or maintenance plan forms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, our systems, or data belonging to others
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
• Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy content for commercial use
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, text, images, logos, graphics, and code, is the property of North Star Heating & Cooling or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

5. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (such as manufacturer sites, Xcel Energy rebate pages, or Google Maps). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.

6. Not professional advice

Information on this Site is for general informational purposes only. HVAC diagnostics, equipment recommendations, and safety advice described here are not a substitute for an in-person inspection by a licensed technician. If you suspect a carbon monoxide leak, gas leak, or any other emergency, leave the home and call 911 before contacting us.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information presented is current or complete.

Service warranties are separate from these Terms. Our standard repair warranty is 1 year parts and labor on the specific repair performed. Installation warranties follow manufacturer terms and are provided in writing at the time of installation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Star Heating & Cooling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your access to or use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim arising out of use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for damages that cannot be excluded under applicable Minnesota law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless North Star Heating & Cooling, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Modifications to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted to this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ramsey County, Minnesota.
